Reginald Gray has been engaged by a key client to source and secure an Estimator / Senior Estimator to join their growing business. With a turnover of circa £75M, this well-established contractor delivers high-end projects across the private residential, commercial, private education, and luxury hospitality sectors. This is a key hire at a pivotal time for the business, offering the opportunity to play an influential role in its continued growth and success.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the estimating function on a range of prestigious, design-led schemes, working closely with senior leadership and project delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare accurate and competitive tenders for high-value construction projects across multiple sectors.
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to fully understand project requirements.
- Lead the pricing process, including take-offs, subcontractor enquiries, and cost analysis.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop bid strategies and value engineering opportunities.
- Present and support tender submissions to senior stakeholders and clients.
- Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within the construction industry.
- Experience working on high-end or design-led projects, ideally within one or more of the following sectors: residential, commercial, education, or hospitality.
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
