A well-established commercial refurbishment and fit-out contractor delivering high-quality projects across London and the South East is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing team.

Projects typically range between £300k and £2m, with an annual turnover of £7m–£10m. The company has built a strong reputation for reliability, precision, and professionalism, and works through a balanced mix of competitive tendering, JCT Design & Build, and negotiated contracts.

This is a hands-on, office-based role within a close-knit team that values quality, teamwork, and a “work hard, play hard” culture. You’ll work alongside the Operations Director and wider commercial team to prepare accurate, competitive, and commercially sound tenders for refurbishment and fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, tender submissions, and bills of quantities
  • Evaluate drawings, specifications, and client requirements to ensure accurate pricing and identify value engineering opportunities
  • Collaborate with project managers, quantity surveyors, and directors to develop well-structured, deliverable bids
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients
  • Support commercial handovers and provide ongoing cost input during project delivery

About You:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator within commercial refurbishment or fit-out
  • Understanding of JCT contracts, Design & Build, and negotiated projects
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
