Reginald Ames Limited is a well-established, fast growing and forward-thinking company, specialising in the importing of high end/speciality Teas, Herbs and Infusions from around the world. We are the market leading contract packer for Speciality Teas in the UK. The team are focused, friendly, and highly professional.

Available shifts:

  • Early Shift: 6am - 2pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Late Shift: 2pm - 10pm, Monday to Friday.

Salary - dependent upon experience. You must have, and be able to provide proof of, your right to work in the UK full time (37.5 hours per week). You will be asked to provide your share code, and date of birth.

JOB SUMMARY: Take responsibility for your production area during the shift; to ensure that goods are produced to the highest quality standards in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Always achieve the highest standards in Health & Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Cost. To maximize profitability through the control of batch yields, out of life reduction, shortages, waste and complaints.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure the highest quality and food safety standards are embedded during your shift.
  • Ensure the highest standards of hygiene and good housekeeping are maintained during your shift (GMP – Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Promote and maintain an “audit ready” culture within the Production Area by ensuring you understand “what good looks like”.
  • Communicate in a timely and effective manner with Supervisor, or other departments (Technical, Sales) about any production issues that occur (Quality, Late Deliveries, Product Shortages etc.) which might impact upon the normal smooth running of other departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the continuous and safe running of production.
  • To produce all products according to recipe.
  • To produce safe and legal products.
  • Keeping clean and tidy production area.
  • Complying with the Health & Safety and Food Hygiene policies.
  • Spotting and controlling non-conformances.

MAIN TASKS:

  • Following relevant instructions.
  • Accurate labelling of products.
  • Accurate documentation of production.
  • Helping Supervisors and Managers with their responsibilities.

JOB KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

ESSENTIAL:

  • English- speaking and writing.
  • Maths – a good level of mental arithmetic.

OPTIONAL:

  • Food safety Certificate.
  • Manual Handling.
