As a Supermarket Assistant in our Waitrose, Hove Branch, you will help create a memorable experience for customers, delivering partner‑led service and passion for food that sets the brand apart.

Applicants must be 18 years or older due to working time regulations.

Night premium: any time worked between 22:00 and 06:00 is paid at £3.50 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment – keep shelves full and products in the right place at the right time.
• Fulfil online customer orders ready for our drivers to deliver directly to customer doors.
• Reduce wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns for items approaching sell‑by dates.
• Support the wider shop team, including checkout support and Click & Collect order management.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment through general shop‑keeping tasks.

Essential Skills

• Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and customers.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in a customer‑facing role.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge and interest in food and drink trends.
• Flexible approach to support the entire branch as required.
