As a Supermarket Assistant in our Waitrose, Hove Branch, you will help create a memorable experience for customers, delivering partner‑led service and passion for food that sets the brand apart.
Applicants must be 18 years or older due to working time regulations.
Night premium: any time worked between 22:00 and 06:00 is paid at £3.50 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Stock replenishment – keep shelves full and products in the right place at the right time.
- Fulfil online customer orders ready for our drivers to deliver directly to customer doors.
- Reduce wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns for items approaching sell‑by dates.
- Support the wider shop team, including checkout support and Click & Collect order management.
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment through general shop‑keeping tasks.
Essential Skills
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and customers.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in a customer‑facing role.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge and interest in food and drink trends.
- Flexible approach to support the entire branch as required.
