GIS Solutions Architect

Salary: £80,000 to £100,000

They’re expanding their Enterprise Solutions Centre of Excellence and seeking an experienced GIS Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of innovative ESRI GIS solutions that help clients modernise operations and unlock the power of spatial intelligence.

The Role

As a GIS Solutions Architect, you’ll take ownership of designing and architecting complex enterprise GIS platforms that empower customers to make smarter, data-driven decisions. Working closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and client executives, you’ll translate requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing ESRI GIS solutions that deliver measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver enterprise GIS solutions using ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and the ESRI Utility Network.
• Lead the end-to-end solution design, migration, and implementation of GIS systems that align with business goals.
• Develop and oversee data migration strategies from legacy GIS platforms to modern ESRI Utility Network models using FME, Python, and other ETL tools.
• Integrate GIS solutions with OMS, WMS, SCADA, and ERP (e.g., SAP, Maximo) systems for seamless enterprise connectivity.
• Provide guidance on cloud deployments, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines (Azure, AWS, VMware).
• Stay up to date with ESRI product advancements, developing accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that strengthen the organisation’s GIS capability.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a GIS Solutions Architect, ideally 5+ years within enterprise GIS environments.
• Strong background in ESRI ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and Utility Network architecture.
• Deep understanding of data modelling, ETL workflows (FME, Python), and spatial database design.
• Experience leading GIS implementations in utilities (water, gas, or electric) sectors.
