We're working with an award-winning software business with over 25 years of market leadership behind them. The engineering function is serious, the platform runs at real scale, and they're looking for an Azure DevOps Engineer who takes the same pride in their infrastructure as the development team takes in their code.
This is a hands-on position sitting inside an established DevOps team. You'll own your piece of the Azure environment; building, improving and maintaining hosted infrastructure that has to stay robust, scalable and cost-effective under genuine pressure.
Day-to-day you'll be driving platform improvements, supporting developers on environment decisions, managing continuous deployments, and contributing to an out-of-hours rota for paid deployments. It's the kind of role where no two weeks look the same and the technical breadth is genuinely wide.
You're the right Azure DevOps Engineer if you have:
- 4+ years implementing and maintaining DevOps processes in a production environment
- Strong hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes Service
- Azure Pipelines, Azure SQL, CosmosDB and Azure Service Bus experience
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and continuous deployments
- Experience with centralised logging, health checks and platform tuning
- Comfortable with PowerShell, Nginx, IIS and MS SQL
- Azure Application Insights and Azure Load Testing experience
- SSO and source control via Azure Git or equivalent
Bonus points for Bicep, ARM Templates, CloudFlare, Octopus Deploy, Prometheus/Grafana, C# .NET or Seq/Loki. None are dealbreakers.
The package includes:
- £65,000 to £75,000 depending on experience
- Private health insurance, BUPA Dental, Group Life Insurance & Income Protection
- 23 days holiday rising to 26 plus all UK Bank Holidays and a holiday buy/sell scheme
- Up to 10% employer pension contributions
- Annual performance bonus
- Flexible working: 35 hour week, flex between 8am and 6pm
If you are a DevOps Engineer eager to advance your career, and want to work for an employer committed to social and environmental responsibility, this is the role for you so apply today for immediate consideration.
