Test Automation Lead c.£65,000 (DOE) + Bonus & Benefits Egham, Surrey Hybrid - Twice a week in office.
We are working with an award-winning software business with over 25 years of market leadership behind them. The engineering function is serious, the platform runs at real scale, and they are looking for a Test Automation Lead who takes the same pride in quality as the development team takes in their code.
What this Test Automation Lead role actually involves:
- This is a hands-on leadership position shaping the automation strategy across multiple projects.
- You will own the framework; designing, building and maintaining clean, scalable test automation that stands up across projects and streams, from ingestion right through to the presentation layer.
- Day-to-day you will be driving automation strategy, coaching the wider testing team, working closely with developers, BAs and offshore resources, and rolling your sleeves up on hands-on testing when it is needed.
- It is the kind of role where you have real influence on how quality gets delivered, and no two sprints look the same.
You are the right Test Automation Lead if you have:
- 10+ years in Software Testing, with 5+ years in a test lead role doing hands-on work.
- Strong hands-on C# .NET for reading, writing and maintaining automation code.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
- Strong API Test Automation experience (Postman, SOAP UI).
- Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, test management and source control.
- Solid across Functional, Regression, Integration, SIT, Non-Functional and UAT support.
- Comfortable with SQL, SQL Management Studio, JIRA/TFS/ALM Agile/Scrum environments as standard.
The package:
- c.£65,000 depending on experience.

- 23 days holiday rising to 26 plus all UK Bank Holidays.
- Up to 10% employer pension contributions.
- Annual performance bonus.
