As a Software Engineer you will be part of a close-knit development team working across the full lifecycle of web applications, contributing to both frontend and backend development while collaborating with product and delivery stakeholders in an Agile environment.
The role
You’ll be responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining responsive web applications using Laravel and Vue.js. You’ll work with structured development processes, contribute to code quality standards, and play an active role in improving how software is delivered.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing and maintaining full-stack web applications using Laravel and Vue.js
- Building and optimising MySQL / MariaDB databases with performance and data integrity in mind
- Writing unit and integration tests to support stable, maintainable releases
- Reviewing code, following best practices, and contributing to shared coding standards
- Troubleshooting issues, fixing bugs, and improving existing functionality
- Working within Agile delivery cycles, taking part in stand-ups, refinements, and retrospectives
What We’re Looking For
- At least 4 years’ commercial experience developing web applications
- Strong hands-on experience with Laravel
- Solid working knowledge of Vue.js and modern JavaScript practices
- Experience designing and working with MySQL or MariaDB databases
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design
Nice to Have
- Experience working with cloud platforms
- Exposure to DevOps tools or practices
- Background working on complex or business-critical systems
