The Role
As a Lead .NET Developer, you’ll play a key role in designing, building and improving the software that powers their products. You’ll help debug, develop and deploy .NET solutions while making sure everything follows the coding standards set by the Technical Development Manager and Technical Architect. Working in an Azure cloud environment, you’ll focus on building scalable, secure and high-performing systems. You’ll also help raise the bar across the team by strengthening development standards and mentoring other developers.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on bug fixes, enhancements and new features across existing applications and new projects.
- Collaborate with DevOps to ensure smooth builds and successful deployments.
- Work closely with the testing team to make sure changes are reliable and meet requirements.
- Set up and configure new customer implementations of the core product.
- Support the application support team in resolving live customer issues when needed.
- Work with Business Analysts and Product Owners to refine requirements and create user stories.
- Provide development input and impact assessments for new initiatives with BAs and Project Managers.
- Manage your JIRA backlog of tasks, bugs and development work.
- Write and run ad-hoc SQL queries to support reporting, troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other developers.
- Identify potential technical risks and help put solutions in place to address them.
Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- Strong experience designing and implementing technical solutions aligned with project requirements and user story acceptance criteria.
- Experience with code reviews and promoting best practices around code quality, testing and documentation.
- Technical leadership with the ability to guide teams and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong experience with ASP.NET, C#, .NET Core and Visual Studio.
- Experience building cloud-based, microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Strong experience working with SQL databases.
- Experience with MVC, Web APIs, REST APIs and JSON/XML services.
- Familiarity with Docker, Azure Portal, Azure Service Bus and gRPC.
- Experience using Git and Azure DevOps for source control and branching strategies.
- Strong communication, organisation and team collaboration skills.
