We're working with an established software company as they look to hire a Software Engineer to strengthen their engineering team. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building robust backend systems, taking ownership of complex development work, and helping drive engineering standards forward. C++ is the core language, but the team is forward-thinking and this is a great opportunity for someone who wants to keep progressing and learn modern languages like Rust and Go over time.

What you’ll need:

  • Strong commercial experience with C++ in production environments
  • Proven ability to deliver reliable, scalable software
  • Experience working across Linux and Windows
  • Confident owning work across the full lifecycle: design, build, test, documentation, support
  • Strong debugging skills and an engineering mindset focused on quality and performance
  • Comfortable working in a Git + Atlassian based workflow (or similar)

Nice to have (but not essential):

  • Mentoring/leading other engineers via code reviews and technical guidance
  • Exposure to modern languages such as Rust / Go
  • Experience improving performance, stability, and maintainability across mature systems
