Stage Technician (Automation Operator)

Overview

Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre is seeking a skilled and committed Automation Operator to join the Stage Department for a production as part of our 2026 season. Working closely with the Head of Stage, Deputy Head of Stage, Stage Technicians, and the wider production team, this role is central to the safe and efficient operation of the theatre’s revolve and other stage automation elements. The Automation Operator will program, test, and execute cues using the Revolvesolve software package, support rehearsals and performances, and contribute to a supportive and professional backstage environment. This is a full-time, fixed-term role from 20th April to 6th June 2026. More information on the role can be found in the job pack.

Responsibilities

• Program, test, and execute cues using the Revolvesolve software package
• Operate the theatre’s revolve and other stage automation elements safely and efficiently
• Support rehearsals and performances
• Work closely with the Head of Stage, Deputy Head of Stage, Stage Technicians, and the wider production team
• Contribute to a supportive and professional backstage environment
