We are looking for an experienced Operations Director to lead the day-to-day delivery and growth of a Private Patient Unit (PPU), working closely within a joint venture partnership with a large NHS Foundation Trust on the South Coast. You'll take overall responsibility for operational performance, commercial growth, team leadership, governance and patient experience. You will ensure that the PPU delivers safe, efficient, high-quality services while meeting ambitious activity and revenue targets.

Main duties of the job:

  • Act as the main interface between the NHS Trust and Regent's Park Healthcare senior management teams to develop a PPU.
  • Be responsible for the project management and development of the PPU.
  • Provide key reporting to all stakeholders on PPU operational metrics, including identifying any key growth opportunities.

This is a new role reporting to the Director of Corporate Development who is based at the corporate headquarters in Salisbury, South Wiltshire. The successful postholder will be based on the South Coast.

Job responsibilities:

  • Lead non-clinical operations and service delivery across the PPU.
  • Own and deliver the commercial and business development strategy (self-pay and insured).
  • Build and lead high-performing operational and admin teams.
  • Manage budgets, pricing, revenue capture and resource planning.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement (consultants, referrers, corporates, insurers and internal teams).
  • Report into the JV Management Board and contribute to governance and performance reporting.
  • Ensure compliance across CQC-aligned governance.
