ROLE LOCATION
This role is based in our office in Southampton, with Mondays & Fridays working from home.
BASIC PURPOSE
The Commercial Planning Analyst will play a critical support role to the Commercial Planning Manager across Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. The role focuses on delivering high-quality reporting, data-driven pricing support, and promotional implementation for international sales markets. With a strong command of Tableau, Excel, and multi-currency pricing frameworks, the Analyst will ensure smooth execution of commercial strategy across regions.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Pricing & Currency File Management:
- Build and maintain complex multi-currency pricing files for both brands.
- Support the accurate entry and validation of fares and promotional rates across UK, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regions.
- Assist in updating and auditing standard fare and promotional pricing grids.
Reporting & Data Visualization:
- Create and maintain Tableau dashboards for campaign performance, sales trends, and booking activity.
- Generate weekly and monthly reports for senior leadership and global stakeholders.
- Produce ad-hoc analytical reports and support campaign reviews with actionable insights.
Promotional Campaign Support:
- Assist with the setup, validation, and communication of new promotions across internal systems and websites.
- Work closely with the Commercial Planning Manager to ensure timely execution and cross-functional communication of promotional activity.
Business Support & Insight:
- Monitor campaign ROI and sales effectiveness through data-led insight.
- Prepare and distribute regular trackers including the International Campaign Plan, RM Tracker, and Monday Sales Reports.
- Collaborate with global offices to ensure consistent data reporting practices and support local marketing teams with commercial queries.
- Manage individual or ad-hok requests from international team members on select sailings for covert or confidential business opportunities for their regions.
Tools & Process Optimization:
- Support the ongoing development of automation and process improvements across commercial tools.
- Partner with IT or BI teams when required to enhance Tableau and data visualization solutions.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial, pricing, or analytical role. Travel industry experience is preferred.
COMPETENCIES / SKILLS
- Highly proficient in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
- Experience with Tableau or another visual reporting tool (Tableau certification a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and pricing validation.
- Able to prioritise and manage workload across multiple markets and stakeholders.
- A self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
