Regent College London is seeking an experienced and passionate Associate Lecturer in Physiology/ Nutrition to join our growing academic team. The Role

We are seeking an Exercise Physiologist with the confidence and expertise to lead Level 5 and Level 6 physiology modules. The successful candidate will deliver a suite of engaging laboratory practicals, including skinfold assessments, CPET (Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing), and blood lactate sampling—and demonstrate the application of these methodologies to core physiological concepts.

The role requires a versatile practitioner capable of translating theory into practice across both high-performance sport and clinical populations. Furthermore, a background or additional expertise in Sport Nutrition would be highly advantageous, fostering interdisciplinary synergy and strengthening the broader curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering lectures, seminars, and workshops aligned to module specifications
  • Updating and maintaining engaging digital learning content via VLE and MS Teams
  • Supporting student assessment and providing timely, constructive feedback
  • Advising students on academic and pastoral matters, referring where appropriate
  • Participating in moderation, standardisation, and academic quality assurance
  • Contributing to curriculum development and enhancement of the student experience

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • A Master’s degree in Physiology or a related field
  • Demonstrable experience teaching Physiology topics in a UK higher education setting
  • Excellent communication and digital teaching skills
  • Ability to develop innovative learning materials and manage hybrid delivery
  • Commitment to inclusivity and student centred learning

Desirable

  • Teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one
  • PhD in Physiology or equivalent industry experience
  • Fellowship of Advance HE (or eligibility)
  • Experience with Physiology research, enterprise activity, or professional networks

Working Hours & Flexibility
