The Compliance Officer leads on compliance oversight of domestic/home student recruitment, including admissions controls, external agents and partner activity. The role ensures alignment with regulatory requirements, protects student interests and supports sustainable growth.

Role Focus: Compliance ownership of domestic student recruitment, admissions controls and agent/partner oversight within higher education, focusing on consumer protection and fair student outcomes.

Experience: Minimum 10 years in compliance, audit, legal or quality assurance roles within UK regulated environments with strong exposure to audit.

Regulatory Depth: Strong knowledge of OfS requirements including partner oversight, admissions controls, quality and standards, and student protection obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and maintain the compliance framework for domestic admissions and partner/agent activity.
  • Develop and implement policies, controls and monitoring aligned to regulatory expectations.
  • Deliver risk-based monitoring and audit programs.
  • Ensure recruitment practices meet consumer protection requirements.
  • Support regulatory reviews, audits and investigations.
  • Provide reporting to senior leadership.
  • Provide compliance guidance and training.
