About the Role
As the Programme Leader, you will draw upon your experience to support the Dean of School to ensure high-quality, industry-relevant teaching and learning for your students, ensuring they have an excellent student experience. You will be part of the academic management team with responsibility for a programme of study and associated intakes. There will be an expectation of some teaching commensurate with the role and responsibilities. This role requires presence on campus when teaching is delivered to your students; a specific work pattern can be agreed.
Key Responsibilities
- Academic Leadership & Programme Management
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of the programme, ensuring an outstanding student experience.
- Maintain academic quality and standards in line with partner requirements, including assessment oversight, teaching quality monitoring, and engagement with External Examiners.
- Drive curriculum development and continuous improvement, ensuring programme content remains current and aligned with institutional teaching methodologies.
- Analyse student performance data to inform annual monitoring and enhancement plans.
- Support academic governance through participation in boards and panels (e.g. assessment boards, misconduct panels, annual reviews).
- Provide leadership and mentorship to academic staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Work closely with Faculty Managers and Module Leaders to ensure effective people management and high-quality VLE content.
- Contribute to scholarly research within your discipline.
- Deliver and support high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback and promote assessment literacy and academic integrity.
- Identify and support students requiring additional assistance, referring to appropriate services where needed.
- Ensure academic misconduct is managed in line with institutional and partner policies.
