Regent College London is seeking an International Student Recruitment Officer to join its rapidly expanding international student recruitment team, promoting the college as a higher education destination across our five central London campuses. The role holder will work closely with key partner agents and deliver a range of activities to support recruitment for our courses. Job Summary
You will be responsible for recruiting international students for our higher education programmes, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders to create a sustainable pipeline of prospective applicants. You will drive results against ambitious targets by expanding and supporting a high-performing network of agent partners, while delivering impactful recruitment activities across multiple markets. In this role, you will oversee the full recruitment journey - from initial enquiry through to enrolment - ensuring an exceptional experience for prospective students. You will also play a key part in shaping our international recruitment strategy and enhancing processes and procedures to improve the overall applicant journey.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Achieve agreed student recruitment targets through effective planning and delivery.
- Develop and implement recruitment plans aligned with the overall international strategy, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, from initial enquiry through to enrolment.
- Manage course enquiries, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to established processes and protocols.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing agents, ensuring all partner agents receive comprehensive training and have a thorough understanding of our courses and key selling points.
- Represent Regent College London at targeted recruitment events and in-market activities.
- Work with the Head of International Recruitment to create regional strategies, manage budgets and evaluate return on investment (ROI).
- Establish links with schools, colleges, and other institutions to support recruitment initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with Marketing, Admissions, and Recruitment teams to deliver market-focused strategies.
- Liaise with academic and professional staff to support recruitment and conversion activities, both on campus and online.
- Maintain accurate data and effective lead management using the CRM system.
- Monitor enrolment trends to identify growth opportunities and address potential risks.
- Provide additional support across the department as required to meet operational needs.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Demonstrated success in international education sales, with a strong track record of achieving ambitious student recruitment targets.
- Experience in developing and delivering successful student recruitment strategies and activities.
- Solid knowledge of the UK education system, qualifications, student recruitment requirements and visa processes.
- Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Approximately two years’ experience in a student recruitment role.
- Good understanding of the Higher Education recruitment cycle.
- Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- A proactive, positive, and approachable attitude, with a strong “can-do” mindset.
- Cultural awareness and the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise to meet deadlines.
- Resilient under pressure, maintaining high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally as required.
- Flexibility to work outside standard hours, including evenings and weekends when necessary.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Desirable:
- Ability to speak one or more languages is an advantage.
- Experience working within the Higher Education sector.
- Demonstrated awareness of at least one key recruitment market, such as South-East Asia, the Middle East, or Africa is desirable.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, with the ability to use data insights to inform decision-making.
