RTC Education Limited is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Undergraduate Programme to provide academic leadership and ensure the successful delivery of undergraduate programmes. This is a critical leadership role responsible for managing Programme Leaders and supporting the wider programme team. The post holder will play a key role in maintaining high academic standards, ensuring quality teaching and learning, and fostering strong relationships with university partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Programme Leaders and the wider programme team
- Monitor and coordinate programme activities to ensure effective delivery
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with university partners
- Academic Quality & Standards
- Ensure high-quality teaching, learning, and academic standards across the programme
- Oversee classroom delivery, programme resources, and academic performance
- Prepare and review assessment briefs
- Manage internal verification processes
- Coordinate with external examiners for assessment approvals and moderation
- Governance & Reporting
- Prepare Programme Board reports
- Support the Dean of School in producing School Board reports
- Present programme data at Assessment Boards
- Support teams in preparing documentation for Assessment Boards
- Student Engagement
- Chair and manage Student Voice Forum meetings
- Act on student feedback to enhance the learning experience
- Performance & Quality Monitoring
- Monitor and review programme performance
- Conduct and/or support teaching observations
- Ensure continuous improvement across programme delivery
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Work closely with the Dean of School and other Heads of Programme
- Ensure consistency and alignment across different programme levels
- Support cross-functional teams to maintain academic excellence
Skills & Experience
- Essential
- Strong academic background
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Experience in higher education programme management
- In-depth understanding of academic quality assurance and regulatory requirements
- Experience working with university partnerships and franchised programme arrangements
- Desirable
- Experience in OfS-regulated environments
- Familiarity with assessment boards, external examiners, and academic governance processes
