The Role
As a Lecturer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering engaging teaching across a range of Law programmes. You\’ll support students both in person and online, contribute to assessment and quality assurance, and be involved in scholarship and continuous curriculum improvement.
Lecturers are expected to be able to teach across foundation of legal knowledge modules.
It would be advantageous if applicants could teach on some or all of the following modules to support our joint business programmes.
- MGT5015 Corporate Finance
- MGT5028 Marketing Strategy and Implementation
- MGT5027 Management Accounting
- MGT6018 Corporate Governance and CSR
- MGT6027 Social Enterprise
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, seminars, and tutorials in line with curriculum standards
- Develop and update teaching materials and maintain digital learning platforms
- Set, assess, and provide feedback on student assignments and exams
- Support students academically and pastorally, including those with learning support needs
- Engage with quality assurance processes, contribute to module and programme evaluations
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes
- Lead modules and coordinate with associate lecturers where applicable
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- A Master\’s degree in a relevant Law-related field
- Experience teaching in Higher Education, with strong digital teaching capability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of HE quality assurance and validation processes
- A flexible, student‑focused approach and commitment to continuous improvement
- Willingness to work towards HEA Fellowship (if not already held)
Desirable:
- PhD (or near completion) or equivalent industry experience
- Research or enterprise activity involvement
- Teaching qualification
- Experience leading modules or academic teams
