What You Will Do:

  • Own the overall system architecture and requirements
  • Produce and iterate CAD models, component designs, and assemblies
  • Run virtual testing including CFD, FEA and MATLAB/Python
  • Make pragmatic trade-offs across performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability
  • Lead hands-on prototyping, hardware testing, and design iteration
  • Design for manufacture, installation, and maintenance from day one
  • Diagnose and resolve failures — in simulation and on the bench

What We Are Looking For:

  • Hands-on problem solver — comfortable building, testing, and fixing hardware yourself
  • Strong intuition for tolerances, fits, wear, and failure modes
  • Designs with manufacture, installation, and maintenance in mind from the start
  • Able to make sound decisions with incomplete data and iterate quickly
  • Cost-aware and practical — thrives in a resource-constrained startup environment
