What You’ll Do:
- Design & Engineering: Own the overall system architecture, requirements. Produce and iterate CAD models, component designs, and assemblies. Run virtual testing including CFD, FEA and MATLAB/Python. Make pragmatic trade-offs across performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Build & Test: Lead hands-on prototyping, hardware testing, and design iteration. Design for manufacture, installation, and maintenance from day one. Diagnose and resolve failures — in simulation and on the bench.
What We’re Looking For:
- Hands-on problem solver — comfortable building, testing, and fixing hardware yourself.
- Strong intuition for tolerances, fits, wear, and failure modes.
- Designs with manufacture, installation, and maintenance in mind from the start.
- Able to make sound decisions with incomplete data and iterate quickly.
- Cost-aware and practical — thrives in a resource-constrained startup environment.
