The role involves:
- Developing and delivering strategies that generate sustainable income and strengthen relationships with donors, partners, and the local community.
- Operational management of the delivery of our community-based engagement initiatives including our award-winning community garden PIER.
- Implementing our comprehensive fundraising strategy (individual giving, corporate partnerships, grants and tenders, events) and providing operational management to coordinate fundraising campaigns, appeals, grant applications and events to achieve income targets.
- Providing operational management of our community engagement initiatives that support service users to engage in our communities, including the PIER community garden and volunteering opportunities.
The right fit:
- Experience in fundraising and donor relationship management.
- Previous experience of coordinating community engagement delivery programmes.
- Strong networking and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Knowledge of fundraising and voluntary sector regulations and ethical standards.
- Ability to manage budgets and deliver against financial targets.
- The ability to engage with a wide range of audiences to develop delivery programmes and fundraising activities including service users, staff and external stakeholders.
- An understanding of the issues faced by people who are at risk of or are experiencing homelessness.
- An understanding of volunteering and community engagement.
- The ability to inspire, lead and manage the service delivery team ensuring team members are fully trained, coached and supported and that effective service delivery is maintained.
- Ability to monitor KPIs to evaluate and effectively manage service delivery in line with Petrus strategic goals, organisational mission and values.
