Proposed Interview Date: Tuesday 29th September 2026

The role:

As a Home Ready Coach at Petrus you will be helping prevent homelessness across Rochdale through our three-year Ending Homelessness in Communities Fund Project. You will provide 1 to 1 coaching and group work in line with our tenancy skills programme for people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or moving into accommodation. Using a person-centred, strengths-based and trauma informed approach, you will empower and coach individuals to build confidence, develop practical life skills, improve financial capability, strengthen community connections, and sustain their tenancies, helping to prevent repeat homelessness and create positive futures.

The right fit:

We are looking for a compassionate, motivated and resilient individual with experience supporting vulnerable people, within homelessness, housing or community services. You have excellent communication and relationship building skills. Ability to motivate and empower others, and experience of delivering person centred support. Knowledge of tenancy sustainment, independent living skills, welfare benefits and trauma informed practice would be advantageous. You have strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a complex caseload. Confident in hosting group workshops. Commitment to promoting independence, inclusion and positive outcomes are essential.

Who we are:

Petrus provides support services for people facing homelessness or in housing need. We are a charitable organisation and deliver both drop in and residential services in Rochdale and Oldham. We believe people should have access to safe, secure, quality housing. We help people to develop skills, independence and make positive choices. We believe collaboration with other agencies and organisations is key to creating a world where everyone has a safe place to live. Petrus is part of The Regenda Group; we work in places where we can make a difference and operate across the housing and construction sector, in care and support, and in education, training and careers.
