The predicted salary is between 60000 - 84000 £ per year.

Annual salary of 70,000 (FTE) Permanent role Full-time (35 hours) Liverpool city centre office base, hybrid working.

The role:

  • Support the Director of Finance in leading, motivating, developing and inspiring the Finance team in the effective delivery of high-quality services within a customer focused environment.
  • Support the Group's financial strategies and policies through adherence to financial procedures.
  • Oversee accounting activities, ensuring compliance in all Group financial statutory and regulatory reporting.
  • Production of the consolidated Group Financial Statements in conjunction with the Financial Accountant.
  • Preparation of the consolidation for the Group accounts and ensuring the integrity and consistency of accounting policies across the Group.
  • Ensure that any changes to accounting standards are properly reflected in Group financial reporting.
  • Production and submission of regulatory returns notably: FFR, FVAs and QFRs.
  • Preparation of the Group Business Plan using Brixx Business Planning software.
  • Assist the Finance Director in the preparation of Board papers and ensure the integrity of assumptions and sensitivities are incorporated in the business plan.
  • Production of Stress Testing and monitoring of Loan Covenant compliance.
  • Production of reports to the Board and Audit Committee.
  • Oversight of control over fixed assets, including ensuring that impairment triggers are promptly identified.
  • Production of certain annual budgets notably, depreciation / accelerated depreciation.
  • Oversight of Gift Aid payments and liaison with tax advisers as required.

The right fit:

  • Thorough understanding of the latest accounting standards.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements in the Housing Sector.
  • CCAB qualified (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CIPFA) or CGMA.
  • Advanced IT literacy especially in Brixx software.
  • Detailed understanding of best practice in relation to financial control.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Significant experience of financial control and reporting in the Social Housing Sector.
  • Ability to liaise with colleagues within the Finance Department to ensure workflows are planned, coordinated and communicated effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
