Job Overview: You will be designing and developing our offsite modular bathroom and utility pods using Revit, digital workflows, and automated manufacturing tools. This is a role for someone who enjoys solving problems, working closely with production teams, and shaping how products are designed and delivered. You will quickly become a central figure in the design office, with a clear path toward leading design and manufacturing processes as the business grows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed 3D models and drawings in Revit, including advanced family creation.
- Work with BeSmart Metal Collection and understand outputs for the Howick machine.
- Develop accurate, manufacturable pod designs for production.
- Collaborate with shopfloor teams to ensure smooth build workflows.
- Manage CAD data, IFC exports, and BIM-related processes.
- Support customer meetings and technical discussions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and ISO 9001-aligned processes.
Essential Criteria:
- HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Strong Revit experience (essential).
- CAD background SolidWorks or similar is a bonus.
- Understanding of IFC data and BIM workflows.
- Practical shopfloor or manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of metal frame design, plumbing, electrical layouts, and white-goods integration.
- Customer-focused mindset with confident communication skills.
- Experience with data management systems; ISO 9001 exposure is an advantage.
- Familiarity with pod design or modular/offsite construction is highly desirable.
