We are seeking an experienced and reliable Fencer to join our social housing maintenance team covering properties across Chatham and the wider Kent area. The successful candidate will carry out fencing repairs, replacements, and installations for occupied and void social housing properties while delivering high standards of workmanship and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and replace all types of domestic fencing including:
    • Timber panel fencing
    • Closeboard fencing
    • Chain-link fencing
    • Gates and posts
  • Remove damaged or unsafe fencing materials safely.
  • Carry out reactive and planned maintenance works on social housing properties.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
  • Communicate professionally with tenants, site supervisors, and housing officers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
  • Accurately complete job sheets and report any additional works required.
  • Follow all health & safety regulations and company procedures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Fencer or Multi-Trade Operative with fencing experience.
  • Experience working within social housing or domestic property maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
  • Good knowledge of health & safety practices.
  • CSCS card desirable but not essential.
  • Own tools beneficial.
