We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong construction background and relevant industry qualifications to join our team delivering cladding and facade projects. The role requires excellent commercial awareness, strong reporting skills and the ability to lead procurement activities across multiple work packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all commercial aspects of cladding and facade projects, including cost planning, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Produce and maintain Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Lead the procurement process, including tendering, bid analysis, negotiation and subcontract appointment.
- Prepare and analyse Bills of Quantities, schedules and tender documentation.
- Oversee commercial management of Mod Pods, SIP panels, groundworks packages and associated modular build elements.
- Manage subcontractor accounts including payments, variations, claims and final accounts.
- Support valuation processes, applications for payment, and contractual correspondence.
- Work closely with site teams in Basildon and the commercial/technical teams based in Southwark.
- Ensure compliance with contract conditions, company procedure and relevant legislation.
- Monitor project costs versus budget, ensuring value engineering opportunities are identified and implemented.
- Contribute to risk management and maintain accurate commercial records throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Strong background in construction with relevant Quantity Surveying qualifications (HNC/HND, BSc, or equivalent).
- Proven experience working on modular build projects or modern methods of construction (MMC).
- Experience working with CVRs, Bills of Quantities, procurement and subcontract management.
- Understanding of Mod Pods, SIP Panels and groundworks packages.
- Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work across site (Basildon) and office environments.
- Excellent commercial judgement and attention to detail.
- Competent in cost reporting, contract administration and project forecasting.
