M&E Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing Location: Royston Salary: Β£60,000 per year + Car Allowance We are seeking a highly skilled M&E Quantity Surveyor with experience in social housing to join our team in Royston. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional to play a key role in managing and delivering mechanical and electrical projects across housing portfolios. Key Responsibilities Oversee the commercial and financial management of M&E projects within the social housing sector. Prepare, manage, and negotiate contracts, variations, valuations, and final accounts. Monitor budgets, costs, and cash flow, ensuring projects are delivered profitably and within agreed margins. Work closely with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery. Analyse tenders, prepare bills of quantities, and provide detailed cost reporting. Ensure compliance with company policies, contract terms, and health & safety standards. Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Requirements Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within M&E and social housing projects. Strong knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts and cost management principles. Excellent financial acumen, negotiation, and analytical skills. Proficiency in relevant software (MS Office, Excel, cost management systems). Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (desirable). Full UK Driving Licence (car allowance included)
