Project Profile Typical projects include:

  • Lateral main replacements and electrical distribution upgrades
  • Electrical installations within conversion schemes (small power, distribution, fire & smoke systems, access control)
  • School refurbishment projects (lighting, power, fire and life safety systems)

The Role:

This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing the Projects Division, operating at either Divisional Manager or Operations Manager level. The role covers the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction through to delivery and client handover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Construction
  • Review potential bid opportunities, assessing risk and viability
  • Develop bid strategies covering both commercial and quality elements
  • Manage the full bid process to ensure compliant and successful submissions
  • Manage client and consultant queries during the post-tender period
  • Lead pre-construction design development with consultants and third-party specialists
  • Pre-Commencement
    • Agree commercial and operational targets
    • Develop mobilisation and procurement strategies
  • Live Works / Delivery
    • Liaise with foremen and electrical leads to ensure programme compliance
    • Monitor cost and value, reporting regularly to senior management and directors
    • Act as the lead representative in client and design team meetings
    • Identify, manage, and cost project variations
    • Identify and deliver added value opportunities for clients
  • General Management
    • Manage and develop the direct labour workforce
    • Maintain and build strong client relationships
    • Maintain and promote high technical standards and innovation
    • Provide regular reporting to senior management and directors

    The Person:

    • Ideally from an electrical background with relevant technical qualifications
    • Strong understanding of the sector and client base
    • Proven experience in bid management and project delivery
