The Role:
This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing the Projects Division, operating at either Divisional Manager or Operations Manager level. The role covers the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction through to delivery and client handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Construction
- Review potential bid opportunities, assessing risk and viability
- Develop bid strategies covering both commercial and quality elements
- Manage the full bid process to ensure compliant and successful submissions
- Manage client and consultant queries during the post-tender period
- Lead pre-construction design development with consultants and third-party specialists
- Agree commercial and operational targets
- Develop mobilisation and procurement strategies
- Liaise with foremen and electrical leads to ensure programme compliance
- Monitor cost and value, reporting regularly to senior management and directors
- Act as the lead representative in client and design team meetings
- Identify, manage, and cost project variations
- Identify and deliver added value opportunities for clients
- Manage and develop the direct labour workforce
- Maintain and build strong client relationships
- Maintain and promote high technical standards and innovation
- Provide regular reporting to senior management and directors
The Person:
- Ideally from an electrical background with relevant technical qualifications
- Strong understanding of the sector and client base
- Proven experience in bid management and project delivery
