We are seeking an experienced and driven Active Fire Contracts Manager to join our team based at our Essex Head Office. Working directly under the Senior Fire Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of our active fire contracts and effectively managing the day-to-day workload across the project. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on manager with deep technical knowledge of fire safety systems and a proven track record of operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Delivery: Oversee and manage day-to-day contract operations to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Workforce Management: Effectively manage and coordinate direct labour teams and external subcontractors, ensuring high productivity and compliance with safety standards.
  • Project Support: Work closely with the Senior Fire Contracts Manager to balance workloads, allocate resources, and streamline project operations.
  • Client & Stakeholder Relations: Act as a key point of contact for operational matters, maintaining excellent relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Compliance & Quality: Ensure all works comply with current British Standards, fire safety regulations, and Health & Safety guidelines.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge and practical experience with Fire Alarm Systems. In-depth understanding of AOV (Automatic Opening Vent) Systems. Solid working knowledge of Emergency Lighting systems.
  • Management & Operations: Proven experience managing both direct labour and subcontractors within the fire safety or building services sector. Demonstrated ability to handle the operational, day-to-day running of busy contracts. Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills. Based within a commutable distance to our Essex office.
