An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Divisional Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function across a large and varied social housing portfolio. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for multiple planned works, high-rise refurbishment, and decarbonisation / net zero retrofit contracts.
The role requires a commercially driven professional who is already operating at Divisional level (or equivalent) and has proven experience managing complex programmes, large teams, and multi-million-pound portfolios. You will be accountable for driving commercial performance, governance, and strategic growth across both long- and short-term contracts, while working closely with operational and client teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver the commercial strategy across a portfolio of social housing contracts.
- Full ownership of P&L, forecasting, valuations, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Manage up to 20 live projects concurrently across multiple workstreams.
- Line manage 4 direct reports, with responsibility for 25–30 indirect reports.
- Ensure contracts are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with commercial and contractual requirements.
- Support contract mobilisation, implementation, and ongoing performance improvement.
- Work collaboratively with operational teams to maximise contract performance and client satisfaction.
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and value engineering initiatives.
- Identify and support commercial growth opportunities across the portfolio.
- Maintain strong governance, compliance, and risk management processes.

Essential Requirements
- Must have extensive experience in social housing planned works.
- Currently operating as a Divisional Commercial Manager or in a similar senior commercial leadership role.

- Strong commercial and financial acumen with a track record of delivering profitable outcomes.
- Experience working across varied contract types and values.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable operating across a wide geographical region.
