Decarbonisation Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing Location: Royston Salary: £60,000 per year We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in decarbonisation and retrofit projects within social housing. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation driving sustainability and improving housing standards. Key Responsibilities Manage the commercial and financial aspects of decarbonisation/retrofit projects (EWI, insulation, heating upgrades, renewable technologies). Prepare valuations, variations, final accounts, and detailed cost reports. Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and financial performance to ensure delivery within margin. Provide accurate cost forecasting and analysis to support project managers and senior leadership. Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure cost-effective solutions. Ensure compliance with PAS2030/35 standards, contract terms, and health & safety regulations. Contribute to tendering and procurement processes for new decarbonisation works. Requirements Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within social housing, ideally with decarbonisation/retrofit project exposure. Strong knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts and cost management processes. Excellent financial management, reporting, and negotiation skills. Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field (desirable). Proficient in Microsoft Office and cost management systems. Strong communication skills with ability to engage clients and contractors
