I'm currently recruiting for a Commercial Analyst to join a well-established contractor operating within the social housing repairs and maintenance sector. Based from their Stratford office, this is an excellent opportunity for an analytical and commercially focused individual looking to develop their career within a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will support the commercial and operational teams by providing accurate analysis, reporting, and insight to drive performance across maintenance contracts. A strong understanding of social housing and Schedule of Rates (SOR) coding is essential for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Analyse commercial and operational data to support business performance and profitability.
  • Monitor contract costs, budgets, and performance metrics, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
  • Review and validate works orders, variations, and invoicing against agreed contractual rates.
  • Produce regular reports and management information to support decision-making.
  • Work closely with commercial, finance, and operational teams to ensure accurate reporting and cost control.
  • Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and financial reconciliation activities.
  • Identify anomalies, risks, and opportunities within contract performance data.
  • Support commercial audits and contract reviews where required.
Essential Requirements
  • Previous experience in a Commercial Analyst, Commercial Administrator, Cost Analyst, or similar role.
  • Working knowledge of Schedule of Rates (SOR) codes is essential.
  • Experience working within the social housing repairs and maintenance sector is essential.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
  • Ability to interpret data and provide meaningful commercial insights.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
