This position starts on Monday 18th May and ends on Friday 31st July 2026.
They will predominantly undertake Damp & Mould inspections, have oversight of works in progress, carry out post inspections, and work directly with contractors. They will also be involved in inspections for Disrepair claims where needed.
What's my role?
You will be surveying and reporting upon the quality of the homes we manage. You will be diagnosing defects and managing cases including remedying damp and mould, pest infestation, disrepair, and aids and adaptations to ensure they are quickly and effectively resolved. You will also be undertaking cost benefit analysis of potential works and options on major works as required, stock condition working closely across Asset Management Teams and the wider business to maximise the value of our homes and deliver great services to our customers.
What am I accountable for?
- Appropriate volume of surveys undertaken to correct standard and managing damp and mould, pest infestation, disrepair and aids and adaptations cases to successful completion.
- Inspecting properties, specifying and managing works in line with the Company policy and procedures and standing orders and all probity including use of NHF Schedule of Rates, obtaining quotes, tenders or waivers.
- Timely specifying and instruction of works and management of service providers delivering the works.
- Updating and monitoring the internal computer systems and the case management system with the findings from your inspections and actions to be undertaken.
- Liaise with relevant teams across the business to ensure the works are completed within a timely and cost-effective manner and to the satisfaction of customers.
- Monitor works passed to service providers and contribute to contractor review meetings where required.
- Undertake post inspections on completed works and ensure works are completed to specification and standards set by the Company.
- Undertake case closure inspection on damp and mould and pest infestation cases to ensure remedial works and solutions undertaken have provided robust and sustainable solutions.
- Undertaking Stock Condition Surveys, property inspections, defects inspections as required by the wider Asset Management Team.
- Review any variations which come through following technical inspections before approval to ensure value for money.
- Manage works to ensure they are to standard, delivered safely and within budget.
