Are you experienced in defining, developing, and delivering central visual merchandising standards across retail and concession estates? Looking for a role where you can translate brand, product, and commercial objectives into clear, practical VM guidelines that drive consistency, density, and conversation across all markets? If so, we have an opportunity for a Visual Merchandiser to join our Regatta Marketing team.
The Impact you will have in this role is:
- Central VM Standards & Guidelines
- Develop and maintain seasonal visual merchandising guidelines covering windows, mannequins, POS, fixtures, and in-store storytelling.
- Own the creation of VM toolkits, including layouts, planograms, adjacencies, and best-practice guidance for all store formats.
- Ensure VM standards align with brand strategy, product priorities, and commercial objectives.
- Translate complex VM concepts into clear, practical guidance that can be consistently executed across markets.
- Define and clearly communicate what is mandatory vs where local flexibility is permitted, ensuring key brand and commercial priorities are protected while allowing for appropriate market adaptation.
- Act as the central owner of VM best practice, with authority over VM standards, principles, and guidance across all estates.
- Mock Shop & VM Planning
- Own and manage the Head Office Mock Shop, using it to test and validate VM concepts before rollout.
- Trial density, layout options, and product stories to identify the most effective VM solutions.
- Use VM software and planning tools to produce scalable layouts and visual plans.
- Support continuous improvement of VM standards through testing, iteration, and insight.
- Cross-Functional & Market Collaboration
- Work closely with Merchandising to ensure VM supports category strategy and product flow.
- Partner with Marketing and Activations teams to align VM with campaign messaging and POS.
- Support International and Retail teams by providing clear guidance and responding to VM queries.
- Provide VM input for new store openings, refits, and key projects where required.
- Lead a structured imagery-led review process to assess VM implementation across markets, identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Work with Retail Operations and International teams to drive corrective actions and support improved execution against central standards.
- Partner with Merchandising and Retail to understand the commercial impact of VM on priority product stories, including sell-through, space productivity, and density.
- Feed learnings and performance insight back into future VM standards, layouts, and guidelines.
Performance Indicators: Measurable outcomes
- Seasonal VM toolkits and guidelines delivered on time and to agreed standards.
- Clear evidence of improved consistency across markets, measured through imagery reviews and compliance tracking.
- Reduction in rework, misinterpretation, or local deviation through effective use of the Mock Shop and clear guidance.
- Demonstrated iteration and improvement of VM standards based on insight, review outcomes, and commercial learnings.
As our future Visual Merchandiser you will have:
- Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of fashion or outdoor retail environments and multi-site estates.
- 3+ yearsβ experience in a visual merchandising role within a multi-store retail environment.
- Experience working at Head Office / central level setting VM standards is desirable.
- Strong commercial and creative balance.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident influencing and working cross-functionally.
- Able to translate strategy into practical execution.
- Comfortable using VM planning tools and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint essential).
- Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
- Ability to work within a budget.
- Ensuring all invoices are logged and signed off in a timely manner.
- Ensure all credit card receipts are logged and approved in a timely manner.
- Providing support to marketing team on invoices and credit card approvals where required.
- Intermediate user of Microsoft applications.
- Experience with project management software and tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday.com).
- Understanding of GDPR regulations and their application in marketing practices.
