Can you work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and hitting deadlines? Looking for a role where you can learn, work and assist in all areas of a Product department, including Buying, Product Management, Fit, Product Development & Design? Do you have a minimum of 2 years of experience working within a brand/retail head office environment? If so, we have an opportunity for a Product Assistant to join our Product Department here at Regatta!

Impact you will have in this role:

  • Product Team Support
  • Assist in the building of the product ranges, from concept through to sampling and production.
  • Analyse and interpret sales data and market/trend research to assist with the creation of the product briefs.
  • Set up and update internal communication documents accurately with the full information required for the wider business.
  • Attend internal/external meetings, take notes and update documentation.
  • General meeting preparation - including chasing of samples, railing up of samples, organizing meeting room set up and printing out range plans.
  • Liaising with Marketing - assist in setting up swing ticket check lists, basic catalogue bullet points, checking catalogues, assist in preparing the product brief to Marketing and checking swing ticket artwork.
  • Setting up and managing SKU and range analysis documents.
  • Responsible for the inputting and maintaining of information on PLM - setting up of catalogue codes, product names and colours, updating pricing and fabric information, generating and printing of range plans.
  • Responsible for lab dips approval - set up the seasonal lab dips approval document, liaise with the Asia office in chasing the lab dips for approval, logging in the received lab dips and liaise with the design and product managers for their approval.
  • Updating the approval document and communicating comments back to the Asia teams.
  • Liaise between Marketing and the Asia offices in requesting and chasing photo samples to ensure they are available for the required deadlines for the Marketing photoshoot.
  • Work with Imports if samples need to be shipped to another foreign location.
  • Product Knowledge
  • Demonstrate necessary product and fabric knowledge to carry out own responsibilities - product training to be provided by the Head of Product.
  • Research
  • Online product and market research, including WGSN and industry reports.
  • Competitive shopping.
  • General project work as set by the Senior Manager.
  • Corporate Calendar
  • Demonstrate clear understanding of corporate calendar for own team and strive to achieve deadlines with guidance from the Head of Product.
  • Asia Offices
  • Understand office structure and ensure timely and accurate update and hand over of information to the relevant teams in the Asia offices.

As our future Product Assistant, you will have:

  • A minimum of 1 year’s work experience within a brand/retail head office environment.
  • High level of accuracy, inputting and updating continuously changing information on all internal systems.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and hitting deadlines.
  • Confidence to deal with people at all levels of seniority.
  • Approachable, friendly with excellent listening skills.
  • Good eye for detail and an ability to produce accurate documentation.
  • Desire to learn, work and assist in all areas of the Product department - Buying, Product Management, Fit Product Development & Design.
  • Organised with a flexible attitude.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office package, including Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Outlook.
  • Understanding of GDPR regulations.
  • Adherence to Company H&S policies always.
  • Responsible for keeping own work area safe and free from hazards.
  • Adopts a “don’t walk by” attitude to health and safety.
