Our client is a leading chartered accountancy firm with offices throughout the United Kingdom. With over 500 employees in over 27 office locations across the country (including Manchester, Nottingham, London and Birmingham), the firm's Manchester office consists of 14 partners who specialise in a variety of sectors including healthcare, sports & leisure, property, recruitment, retail, automotive and hospitality sectors across the UK mid-market.
The Manchester office are currently seeking a motivated M&A Executive / Middle Manager who has gained between 5 to 7 years of experience from an established accountancy firm as a generalist, advising on business transactions and managing a pipeline of deals. All applications should be accompanied with a separate document stating the list of deals the applicant has advised on.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
- Experience leading a team of Analysts and Associates in an established accounting and advisory firm
- Experience drafting and pitching strategic initiatives to Partners
- Experience preparing memorandums, brochures and other marketing documents in advance of negotiations with potential bidders on behalf of the company and client
- Experience conducting due diligence on prospective portfolio companies
- Experience in deal sourcing, marketing and communication
- Experience in project management and the management of concurrent projects at a national and global scale
The ideal candidate will also have the following:
- BA, BSc in business, finance or related discipline from a leading school in the UK
- Have obtained a full postgraduate chartered accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CA(SA)) or chartered finance qualification, including CFA Level 3
- At least 4 years of M&A generalist (sell-side) experience
- Advanced understanding of run-rate and pro-forma methods of valuation, a good understanding of IRR, LBO, WACC and DCF is essential
- Must be a self-starter, motivated and driven to success
- Great oral and written communication skills
- Proven and demonstrable team-oriented work ethic achieved in a corporate environment
- Fluent in English (a second language is desirable but not essential)
