Data Center Engineer

We are supporting a global technology leader in their search for a Data Centre Engineer to join their UK-based facility team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid data centre operations experience to join a dynamic environment where operational excellence and 100% uptime are paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct and oversee electrical, mechanical, and life safety maintenance to support mission-critical infrastructure.
• Perform facility walkthroughs to identify performance gaps and risks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across systems such as UPS, BMS, HVAC, and generators.
• Create and execute MOPs, SOPs and EOPs for critical maintenance and incident response.
• Lead and support project execution with minimal supervision.
• Manage vendor relationships during specialist maintenance and inspections.
• Assist with Incident and Change Management processes.

You’ll Bring:

• 2–4 years’ experience in data centre or critical facility operations.
• Working knowledge of HV/LV systems, UPS, BMS (Trend), HVAC, Fire Systems, PDUs, etc.
• High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (or equivalent experience).

Desirable:

• Industry certifications (electrical, mechanical, or IT-related) are a plus.
