About the Role
Our client seeks an experienced Registered Manager to lead and manage the residential children’s service, ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and delivering excellent care. The role involves overseeing staff, organising schedules, facilitating training, and accessing essential services to enhance childcare practices within the home.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the team and ensure the delivery of services in accordance with legislation, regulations, guidance, and local procedures.
- Manage and support staff, implementing the client’s Supervision Policy and ensuring effective induction for new staff.
- Oversee staff welfare, health and safety compliance, and training and development needs.
- Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and maintain effective workload monitoring.
- Drive quality improvement: establish audit systems, manage performance targets, and provide data analysis to inform continuous service improvement.
- Collaborate with the Directorial Team to develop and evaluate changes and share best practice.
Qualifications
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care & Children and Young People Services, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years childcare residential experience within the last 5 years.
- Significant management experience within a Registered Manager role with proven outcomes in an Ofsted "good/outstanding" home.
- Experience working in partnership with key stakeholders, including families, social workers, Ofsted and other professionals.
