We specialise in government-backed schemes like ECO4, GBIS, SHDF and the GLA’s Warmer Homes programme. With over a team of 20 across surveying, coordination, installation and operations, we’re scaling fast – and we need the right people to come on board.
The Role
We’re seeking a qualified Lead Electrician (NVQ Level 3) with 3–4 years of experience in installing residential extractor fans to join our home energy retrofit team. You’ll oversee on-site electrical works, manage varied domestic conditions, and ensure safe, high-quality installations. You should be confident with domestic electrical systems, including sockets, fuses, lighting, and ventilation and experienced in retrofit projects. Solar PV or low-voltage (LV) experience is desirable, and MCS certification is an advantage. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage on-site electrical installation teams, ensuring safe and efficient work.
- Install, test, and maintain domestic energy efficiency measures, including ventilation systems, wiring, and associated electrical components.
- Ensure all work complies with PAS 2035, building regulations, and REFYT quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and quality checks.
- Coordinate with project managers, retrofit coordinators, and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Mentor and support junior electricians, promoting best practices and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records, certification, and compliance documentation.
Experience:
- Proven experience as an Electrician, ideally with team-leading experience in retrofit, construction, or home improvement projects.
- In-depth knowledge of domestic electrical systems, wiring, and safety regulations.
- Familiarity with PAS 2035, ECO, or retrofit frameworks is a plus.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in using project tracking tools and maintaining compliance records.
Education/Qualifications:
- Electrical qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Additional certifications in retrofit, energy efficiency, or health and safety are desirable but not essential.
Requirements
- Willingness to travel across the UK as part of national retrofit projects.
- Manual UK Driving Licence.
