We’re looking for a Senior PR Manager to lead REFY's PR strategy and execution globally. You'll shape how REFY is talked about in media and culture — building a brand presence with editorial credibility that stands on its own, independent of any single spokesperson. You’ll lead a small, ambitious team, owning everything from strategy through to hands-on execution. This is a role for someone who can think big across markets but is equally happy rolling up their sleeves to get things done.
Location: Manchester/London. We’re open to London-based candidates, with regular travel to our Manchester HQ.
What You’ll Own:
- Global PR strategy across UK, US, Middle East and Europe
- Brand narrative — how REFY shows up in media and culture
- Founder Strategy — how we position Jess and Jenna in relation to REFY whilst they develop their own voices as separate to the CEO and leadership team spokespersons
- Earned media and press office — always-on visibility and product launch PR
- Influencer community — identifying and building authentic relationships with creators, then handing over to Partnerships for campaign delivery
- Press events and brand activations globally
- PR agencies across all markets
- Budget, reporting and performance (share of voice, EMV, reach, sentiment)
- Crisis communications and reputation management
- Leading and developing the PR team of three
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategy & Brand Building: Develop and lead REFY's global PR strategy, adapting by market while keeping a consistent brand voice. Build earned media authority that protects the brand independently of any single spokesperson. Spot cultural white space and the moments where REFY can credibly show up. Act as senior communications adviser to the Head of Brand on messaging, reputation and market sensitivities.
- Global Market Execution: Lead PR across the UK, US, Middle East and Europe with a hands-on understanding of each market. Plan and deliver global product launches with consistent story and local relevance. Build and maintain strong relationships with key media across print, digital, broadcast and emerging platforms. Manage PR agencies across territories — clear briefs, strong alignment, delivery against KPIs.
- Influencer & Community Relations: Lead REFY's influencer community strategy, identifying and cultivating the right voices across markets. Build an authentic network of advocates that grows organically and reflects REFY's aesthetic and values. Own the initial relationship-building and onboarding of new creators, then hand over to Partnerships for campaign execution. Work closely with the Partnerships Manager to ensure a seamless transition with no duplication.
- Press, Events & Activations: Plan and deliver press events and brand activations that are strategically timed and generate meaningful coverage. Lead all product launch PR end-to-end, from media strategy through to post-launch reporting. Manage the press office, gifting programme and media seeding to keep visibility consistent between launches. Work with Brand and Social to ensure PR is integrated into wider campaign planning. Set KPIs and report to leadership on share of voice, EMV, coverage quality and sentiment. Own the PR budget — forecast, track and ensure spend delivers measurable impact. Lead, manage and develop the PR team, creating a high-performance environment with clear goals. Champion PR's contribution to commercial growth within the wider business.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- Senior PR experience in beauty, lifestyle or premium consumer, with a track record of building brand credibility through earned media.
- Hands-on experience leading PR across the UK, US, Middle East and Europe — you've executed in these markets, not just overseen them.
- Strong, genuine media and talent relationships across priority markets.
- A clear point of view on influencer community building — what makes a real advocate versus a placement.
- Ability to move between strategy and execution without dropping quality in either.
- Commercial instincts — you can connect PR activity to brand and business outcomes.
- Confident managing agencies, briefing sharply and holding them to account.
