Key Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing HR initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Managing the recruitment and selection process
- Supporting current and future business needs, including payroll processes
- Developing and monitoring overall HR systems and procedures across the organisation
- Nurturing a positive working environment for all
- Overseeing and managing a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
- Assessing training needs and providing training programmes
- Reporting to management and providing decision support through HR metrics
- Ensuring legal compliance throughout human resource management
Who you are
- Thrives in manufacturing, workshop and office-based environments
- People-oriented and results-driven
- Demonstrable experience with HR metrics
- Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- In-depth knowledge of employee law and HR best practices
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems – previous experience with "Access People HR" would be desirable
- Works well independently and alongside different teams
- Highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail in all areas

Qualifications
- Minimum of CIPD Level 5
- Proven work experience as an HR manager or other HR executive
- General Information
Start date: ASAP Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8.30am to 5pm).
Office-based 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays Permanent contract (6‑month probation period)
Salary: Circa £50,000 DOE Location: In person – Dursley GL11 5HT (requires reliable commute or relocation prior to start) Licence/Certification: CIPD (preferred) Work authorisation: United Kingdom (required)
