Job Summary: We are looking for a female at home English Support Volunteer, in the Hessle/West Hull area, for a specific female client. The volunteer will support the client by having informal conversations, as well as planned activities and discussions, in English to practise and improve their English language skills. The volunteer will provide a regular and friendly space for meeting and speaking, reading and writing in English. The volunteer will work alone from the client’s home but with the support of the Volunteer Coordinator and client’s assigned Resettlement Worker.
Sessions with the client will be every week or every fortnight for an hour, and if you plan sessions, this might also take up to an hour.
