Overview

Job Title: C-Store Team Member
Reports to: Store Manager
Type of Position: Full-time or part-time

Refuel is one of the fastest growing convenience store chains in the US with over 220 stores in the southeast and a team member population of ~3,000.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a friendly greeting to all customers upon entering the store or on the phone.
  • Get to know customers and use their name; make customers feel valued.
  • Move quickly to provide fast service; demonstrate a sense of urgency.
  • Suggest add-on sales when appropriate; maintain a friendly, team-oriented attitude.
  • Operate in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner; communicate effectively.
  • Remain dependable and punctual; notify when necessary.
  • Work independently and as part of a team; stay busy between customers.
  • Handle multiple tasks concurrently; assist associates and customers as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order across areas such as stock, shelves, counters, restrooms, and workspaces.
  • Recognize out-of-date merchandise and ensure proper shelf placement and stock integrity.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks (lift up to 50 lbs, tolerate cleaning products, climb a ladder if needed).
  • Must be able to work in a cooler (approx. 35 degrees) for short periods.
  • Must have basic math skills and the ability to check IDs and process money orders.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English and communicate with customers in English.
  • Good communication skills; dependable and punctual with the ability to work alone or in a team.

Working Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Physical endurance to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to work in a cooler for short periods at 35°F.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle cleaning tasks and routine maintenance.
  • Ability to process information accurately and perform basic math.
