Reference Technology Ltd is a leading provider of event registration services and solutions, working with some of the most exciting event organisers across the UK and beyond. From trade shows to conferences, we help deliver seamless attendee registration, badging, and onsite experiences.
We’re looking for a New Business Sales Executive to join our growing commercial team. If you’re confident, tech-savvy, and thrive in a consultative sales environment, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Proactively generating and managing new business opportunities with event organisers, associations and agencies via phone, inbound email, LinkedIn and other relevant social media channels
- Building and managing your own pipeline of new business prospects
- Conducting discovery calls to understand client registration needs and event goals
- Demonstrating our registration and badging technology both online and in person, showcasing how it solves real event challenges
- Preparing tailored proposals, quotations, and presentations
- Managing deals from first contact through to contract signing
- Collaborating across the business with internal teams and Customer Success Managers to support project delivery and client onboarding
- Attending industry events and trade shows to generate leads and raise brand awareness
- Hitting monthly and quarterly revenue targets
You’ll Need:
- Previous B2B sales experience (preferably in events, SaaS, or service-based sales)
- Strong communication and rapport-building skills
- Confidence presenting to a variety of stakeholders (marketing teams, event managers, C-suite), both online and in person
- A consultative sales mindset – you ask good questions and listen before selling
- A proactive, self-motivated approach to winning new business
- Familiarity with CRMs (we use OpenCRM) and digital sales tools (e.g. Zoom, Teams)
- Excellent organisation and time management
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings or events
