Our client, a London‑based special events and experiences studio, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to bring clarity, control and commercial insight to the heart of the business.
The Role
Hands‑on role for a qualified accountant with strong technical expertise. Own day‑to‑day financial operations while acting as a trusted partner to senior leadership, supporting growth and ensuring accuracy, compliance and strong financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial operations, including AP/AR and reconciliations
- Develop and oversee budgets, driving cost control and efficiency
- Prepare core financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Process invoices, receipts and payments across UK, Italian and US entities
- Support payroll, expenses, VAT returns and statutory compliance
- Improve internal processes and financial controls
Experience & Traits
- Proven Financial Controller or Head of Finance experience, ideally in Events or Hospitality
- Strong knowledge of double‑entry bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Proficient in Xero with excellent Excel skills
- Highly organised, detail‑focused and commercially aware
- Confident communicator, comfortable in a fast‑paced creative environment
Package & Structure
- Hybrid working: minimum three days in the office
- 6‑month probation with quarterly development reviews
- Reporting directly to the Studio Director
