We are working with an award winning Education provider in the area of Bridgwater, Somerset. They are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to add to their team. The role is term time only over 39 weeks.
Main Duties:
- You will be required to deliver the highest quality of education, care and preparation for all students.
- Contribute to the whole school’s planning of activities - with an emphasis on delivering the curriculum through the environment.
- Experienced teaching and learning both indoors and outdoors.
- Create learning in a fun and happy way.
- Thinking of ways to learn through stimulating the mind.
- Lesson Planning and objectives to contribute to learning.
Person Spec:
- Experience working with pupils on the Autistic spectrum is desirable.
- Proven experience of working with children in an educational setting.
- Experience working with young people with special education needs or additional learning difficulties would be advantageous.
- A good level of Maths and English.
- Level 3 in supporting teaching and learning in schools is an advantage.
- Higher level Teaching Assistant (TA4 / HLTA) is desirable.
The position is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure.
Salary: £21-25.5K per annum DOE
Hours: 37.5 hours Term Time only - 39 weeks per year
