We are working with an award winning Education provider in the area of Bridgwater, Somerset. They are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to add to their team. The role is term time only over 39 weeks.
Main Duties
- Lead small group and individual interventions to support the development of learning, social, and emotional skills.
- Contribute to planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons.
- Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to adapt lesson plans and materials to meet students’ needs.
- Provide positive reinforcement and behaviour support strategies.
- Contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Take responsibility for the preparation and organisation of lesson resources as required.
Person Spec
- Experience working with pupils on the Autistic spectrum is desirable.
- Proven experience of working with children in an educational setting.
- Experience working with young people with special education needs or additional learning difficulties would be advantageous.
- Level 3 in supporting teaching and learning in schools is an advantage.
- Higher level Teaching Assistant (TA4 / HLTA) is desirable.
The position is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure.
Salary: £26-30K per annum DOE
Hours: 37.5 hours Term Time only - 39 weeks per year
