We are looking to recruit a Science Teacher to join our School near Bridgwater, Somerset. This is an award-winning school with excellent OFSTED reports. We are looking for someone with experience in teaching students with complex needs.

  • The teacher will have the knowledge and skills to deliver lessons in Humanities.
  • Plan and deliver Science lessons.
  • Deliver engaging, age-appropriate Science lessons that support pupils’ emotional wellbeing, relationships, safety, and personal development.
  • Establish a calm, respectful space where pupils feel emotionally safe to explore sensitive topics and express themselves appropriately.
  • Adapt teaching to individual needs.
  • Differentiate Science content and approaches in line with EHCPs, emotional readiness, and communication needs.
  • Use therapeutic and trauma-informed strategies to support regulation, resilience, and respectful interactions.
  • Liaise with support staff, therapists, and colleagues to ensure consistent messages around wellbeing, relationships, and safeguarding.

Salary: £30-45.5K DOE and Qualifications.
