We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Children's Home Registered Manager to lead an established residential children's home in Bridgewater. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate leader who is committed to delivering outstanding care and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people. As the Registered Manager, you will provide strong leadership, ensure regulatory compliance, and create a nurturing environment where children can thrive.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, maintaining high standards of care, and supporting the continued growth and success of the organisation, including assisting with the development of future homes.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will be accountable for the effective leadership and management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently delivered and maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the home to ensure it meets and exceeds regulatory standards and maintains its current or higher Ofsted rating.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of an established residential children's home.
- Support and lead the opening of future homes, helping to replicate excellent outcomes and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted requirements and the Children's Homes (England) Regulations.
- Lead, develop, and support the staff team, including rota management, holiday approvals, absence cover, training attendance, and bank staff coordination.
- Ensure children receive exceptional standards of care, with positive routines and individual needs at the centre of practice.
- Promote safeguarding and welfare at all times.
- Ensure Health & Safety legislation and all relevant regulations are fully implemented and adhered to.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding children, staff, systems, and organisational procedures.
- Manage budgets effectively and ensure resources are utilised in the most efficient and beneficial way.
- Drive continuous improvement and create a positive culture within the home.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential Requirements
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Previous experience working within a residential children's home setting.
- Experience managing or supervising staff within a care environment.
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes legislation.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- A commitment to achieving outstanding outcomes for children and young people.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Previous Registered Manager experience.
- Proven track record of achieving positive Ofsted outcomes.
- Experience supporting the development or opening of new residential services.
